“TRUE NORTH” is an exceptionally well-equipped, late-model Tartan 3700 CCR. The CCR offers a higher aspect rig than the standard 3700 with remarkable performance and stability. The carbon fiber rig is stronger, lighter, and stiffer than an aluminum mast and can carry a greater sail area while vastly improving sailing performance.
From the desk of Tim Jackett, the sweeping lines, perfect proportions, and contemporary styling display an ideal blend of performance and tradition. Designed and built for the family that wants to both cruise and perform with all the comforts of home. Her “Beavertail” bulb keel with a draft of 5ft makes any gunkhole adventure more friendly.
She is on her second owner and has benefited from spending most of her life on freshwater before she was relocated to Rhode Island in 2019. Currently privately docked and can be easily seen by appointment.
Highlights Include:
Full suite of B&G electronics added in 2020
Carbon cutter CCR rig with self-tacking jib
Volvo D2 40 HP Saildrive with 1034 engine hours
Unlike most CCR’s “True North” has factory aluminum toe rails
