This Marlow-Hunter 40 is a great boat! She is in above average condition and has all the bells and whistles offered by the builder. The interior is finished with quality teak joinery and cherry flooring. There is plenty of natural light and ventilation with large fixed side windows, two opening ports, six fixed ports, and six opening deck hatches. There is a 16,000 BTU reverse cycle AC unit in the salon and a 6,000 BTU unit in the aft cabin.
The Salon has a settee to port and a U-shaped table to starboard with a table. The table drops down to create a berth.

The Marlow-Hunter 40 has a Bergstrom & Ridder rig, a furling 130% genoa, and a Selden in-mast furling mainsail. The B&R rig eliminates the need for a backstay. It employs swept spreaders that are angled aft, together with "stays" running diagonally downward from the tip of the spreaders to the attachment of the next pair of spreaders to the mast or to the intersection of the mast with the deck that facilitates a pre-bend of the mast.
