She has a reliable and fuel-efficient 380 HP Yanmar engine, bow and stern thrusters for easy maneuverability, a 9 KW Kohler generator, two reverse cycle air conditioning units, a Walker Bay dinghy, and an outboard. Stability, Fuel Efficiency, Maneuverability, and Range

The Mainship 400 offers a stable ride, excellent fuel efficiency (single-engine version), and easy maneuverability. The full keel ensures excellent stability underway, and the skeg extends aft to protect the rudder and running gear on the single-engine version. The 380 HP Yanmar is reliable when properly maintained and consumes approximately 1.6 gallons per hour at a cruising speed of seven knots/1,700 RPM. The top speed is approximately twelve knots. The bow and stern thrusters are game-changers!

  • The engine exhaust elbow was replaced in early 2019. 
  • The coolant and transmission fluids were last changed at approximately 3,800 hours.
