A fast, functional and efficient 36 CC with an advanced stepped hull design and stylish profile. Deep Impact Boats incorporates state-of-the-art resin infusion techniques in their construction utilizing composite materials such as Divinicel, Mantax and Kevlar for outstanding structural integrity while reducing weight.
The Seven 7 Marine 557 is based on GM's 6.2L Cadillac LSA V-8 engine. This proven, aluminum V-8 delivers an impressive 550 foot-pounds of torque that at the time, was over 50% more than its' closest competitor. This engine is also used in inboard and stern-drive applications. The 557 is coupled with a ZF transmission in the mid-section in a 1:4:1 gearbox ratio. ZF is the world leader in power transfer as it relates to marine propulsion.
Unique to this DI 36 Open, the 7 Marine 557s are capable of delivering outstanding performance (70MPH Top End) and efficiency (1MPG at 40MPH) while decreasing the drag associated with having more than two engines. Seven 7 Marine parts and service networks continue to operate nationwide.
Deep Impact Custom Boats, located in Opa Locka (Miami) FL produced the 36 Open models from 2003 through 2018 and continues to build boats today.
