The Celtic 40 (formerly the Admiral 40) is a true Bluewater catamaran built to withstand the tough conditions of the open ocean. In addition to their Bluewater capabilities, Celtic Yachts are designed for short-handed sailing and provide excellent sailing performance and a comfortable live-aboard experience. Enhanced features of the Celtic 40 include a redesigned helm station allowing for ease of short-handed sailing, a new davit platform, molded bimini ceiling, redesigned heads, more spacious forward and aft cabins, more locker space, extended salon seating and a larger sliding door opening.
Built in South Africa, RONIN was sailed from the factory to the USA by the owner and designer of Celtic Yachts himself, Tim Duncan. Her second owners bought her new at the boat show and enjoyed the several years cruising the Chesapeake Bay. When her current owner took over, he outfitted her for Bluewater cruising and spent 2 years sailing the Caribbean. If you’re looking at Leopard catamarans you definitely need to check out RONIN! Same build quality but a better value.

Accommodations
SALON
Stepping inside, the galley is to port and a dinette to starboard. Large side and front windows let in plenty of light and allow for a panoramic view of your surroundings. Several opening hatches and ports provide strategic ventilation and airflow throughout the boat. An impressive feature on the Celtic 40 is the abundance of useable storage! It's everywhere and is easily accessible, which is so important especially if you're planning to liveaboard. The sliding door to the cockpit was redesigned and made larger so the whole space flows as one and you're never far from your guests or the enjoying the beauty of the anchorage when inside.
Large U-shaped dinette with beige marine leather upholstery. Much easier than fabric to keep clean and is a cooling retreat when the AC is on.
Front opening cabinets feature wooden door fronts in a basket weave pattern allowing air to ventilate and prohibit mildew.

GALLEY
The well appointed galley is extremely functional and has the same abundant (and easily accessible) storage found throughout the salon. Placing the galley within sight of the helm allows for better communication (and a good visual) between those inside and out.
Isotherm Marine front loading 130L refrigerator and separate Isotherm Marine front loading 90L deep freezer. So important for provisioning for long trips! (12V or engine driven)
Double S/S sink with separate low flow water faucet to conserve water reserves
3 burner stove / oven with rotisserie. Features propane gas detector and shutoff system. Burner cover allows for extra countertop space when not in use
Corian countertops
HULL LAYOUT
Port and Starboard hulls each feature two cabins and one head, for a 4 cabin / 2 head layout. Light from the large windows in the salon keep the hulls bright and ventilated
Two aft cabins feature large athwartship berths that are approximately king sized (7'2" x 6'6")
Two forward cabins have double beds (6'3" x 4'7") that can be configured multiple ways making this a great flex space for additional storage or even as a small craft / tool room if not needed as a berth
Lots of storage in the cabins to keep your personal belongings and clothing. Front opening cabinets feature the same wooden door fronts in a basket weave pattern allowing air to ventilate and prohibit mildew
AC is ducted into the starboard aft cabin. Newly installed fans in the other cabins
Port aft cabin has a radio separate from the primary boat radio
Both heads feature a separate shower, sink basin with storage below and a full length mirrored locker
Electric flush heads (starboard head new 2022) with a pumpout connection on deck for holding tank. Plumbed for raw water or freshwater flush
Cockpit / Deck
The great advantage to a catamaran versus a monohull is the incredible amount of indoor / outdoor space it provides. Aside form the large cockpit, the foredeck with it's large trampolines and built in bird seats make for the perfect place to take in an evening sunset. The side deck are wide and open, allowing for an unobstructed path from bow to stern even while underway. The redesigned davit platform aft makes boarding the dinghy easy and improves the traffic flow in the cockpit. This is perfect for a large group, or if you're traveling with pets. The helm to starboard has good visibility to what lies ahead and a clear view of all four corners while docking.
