Stability, Fuel Efficiency, Maneuverability, and RangeThe Mainship 400 offers a stable ride, excellent fuel efficiency (single-engine version), and easy maneuverability. The full keel ensures excellent stability underway, and the skeg extends aft to protect the rudder and running gear on the single-engine version. The 380 HP Yanmar is reliable when properly maintained and consumes approximately 1.6 gallons per hour at a cruising speed of seven knots/1,700 RPM. The top speed is approximately twelve knots. The bow and stern thrusters are game-changers!

- The experienced owner has performed regular mechanical maintenance, with oil changes approximately every 230-250 hours.
- In November 2019, the Yanmar valves were adjusted, and the engine cooling system was flushed with Barnacle Buster.Â
- The engine exhaust elbow was replaced in early 2019.Â
- The coolant and transmission fluids were last changed at approximately 3,800 hours.
